Tall Painting: Don’t Cry Over Spilled Paint
As a barista and a designer, I totally condone them using those coffee cups to hold the paint that creates this awesome work.

Elephants
I am not going to lie. I am up late doing work because I have procrastinated. A packed weekend full of engagements, bridals showers and family events caused me to put most (if not all) of my work on the back burner. I am paying for it currently as I sit designing a project on my computer, jamming to Mumford and Sons and attempting to keep focused on the task at hand. I have been working since 5 p.m. this evening, yet here I sit because the inspiration just wasn’t happening.
To get the creative mojo going, I have fun searching random things on Google. Tonight’s top search: Creative Personal Websites. After going through multiple compilations of cool websites people had posted on their blogs, the gears started turning and I came up with my design. I found the one thing central to all the sites was a personal branding element and that’s all it took!
Funny how sometimes looking at other people’s personal designs can help you come up with your own. My personal touch?

a perpetual journey
I think I have finally found the solution to my inability to write a continuous blog about nothing.
Write about something.
It’s an ingenious plan, one I had strayed away from because I thought I didn’t have anything remotely interesting to write about.
However, as a PR professional-in-training, I am constantly being lectured about social media and how blogging can make you stand out among other applicants when sending out resumes. “Social media is the fastest growing form of media right now. Get in on it.” I have thought for some time that I had that area covered— I am on both Facebook and Twitter— until I realized that rather than blogging about getting somewhere, I should blog about what I want to get out of life. Where I want to go. My perpetual journey.
Therefore, I am going to try and dedicate a majority of this blog to exploring the great unknown— going out into the wide, wide world with my eyes widely open and taking in the wide array of things there are for me to discover.
In doing this, I hope to find the small treasures and overlooked getaways that make a city wonderful and learn about myself in a million new ways.
This is my perpetual journey.
